<image:title>Manifesto - Government That Works Better</image:title>
<image:caption>We need to improve how the States operates, faster decisions, fewer committees, better leadership. Review the role of States Trading. Be open to reform, but guard against concentrating power in too few hands. Look to right size Government, ensure we are operating within our means, address our tax deficit and strategically look at the size and cost of our Civil Service including Health and Education.</image:caption>

<image:title>Manifesto - Tax: Fair, Balanced & Sustainable</image:title>
<image:caption>No to GST it is not right for Guernsey and doesn’t fit our values. Tackle the deficit with a package of sustainable tax measures not just one blunt instrument. Review the individual tax cap and ensure all contribute fairly. Maximise the opportunities from global tax changes like Pillar II/ zero 15 and understand the true revenue potential. Bring all of the above into a tax review before any GST is implemented.</image:caption>

<image:title>Manifesto - Connectivity: Reliable & Resilient</image:title>
<image:caption>Secure reliable, affordable air and sea links to support residents, businesses and tourism. Review Guernsey’s air route policy and improve island air resilience – including EMAS technology to futureproof our runway. Push for direct links to key hubs like Heathrow – vital for economic growth. Keep building Guernsey’s travel links and make us more attractive to other carriers.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Me - Vote Vermeulen</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m Simon Vermeulen, a People’s Deputy since 2020, and I’m asking for your support as I seek re-election. Over the past four and a half years, I’ve fought hard for our community, and I’m not done yet. As a father, grandfather, and husband, I’m deeply invested in Guernsey’s future. With challenges like housing pressures, connectivity and economic sustainability ahead, we need experienced, principled leadership. I believe in Guernsey and in shaping a resilient, prosperous future for all. Now is not the time for guesswork, it is a time for action, integrity, and vision. Let’s finish what we started, together. Before entering politics, I built my career as a businessman and hotelier, running the former La Grande Mare Hotel on Guernsey’s beautiful West Coast. Since being elected to the States in 2020, I’ve served as Vice President of Home Affairs and sat on the Economic Development Committee. I am a proud father of four, a lifelong boating enthusiast, and a former powerboat racer. Outside of politics, you’ll often find me by the sea or racing Scalextric cars with the grandchildren! My values: integrity, experience, and vision are at the heart of everything I do. I believe that politics should be grounded in honesty, transparency, and always putting Guernsey’s best interests first. With a background in business and a term of experience in the States I understand how to tackle complex issues and deliver practical results. But I also believe in looking ahead shaping a sustainable, successful future for our island. You can read my manifesto here.</image:caption>
